Pumping station yields headless corpse

Residents in Quiapo, Manila have expressed alarm over the successive discovery of dead bodies, possibly salvage victims, dumped near a river pumping station in just a span of three days.
The latest find yesterday morning was a decapitated body of a man floating along a creek near the pumping station of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority in Carlos Palanca street in Quiapo.
The headless victim was described as 56" tall and clad only in underwear.
The victim could had been killed just a few hours before it was found, according to investigator PO2 Rommel del Rosario.
Police failed to find the victims head in the immediate surroundings.
Last Wednesday, the body of a man was also found floating in the same area. The victim, wearing a black sleeveless shirt and shorts, sustained three gunshot wounds in the body.
He was described as between 20 and 25 years old and 54" tall. His hands were tied behind his back with a nylon cord. Another nylon cord was on his neck.
Residents failed to identify both bodies.
Police records showed that since last month, a total of 10 victims of summary executions have been found in several places in Manila.
