Water service cut-off in Manila

Some areas of Pandacan, Manila, will have no water for 12 hours, starting at 11:30 p.m. tomorrow until 11:30 a.m. Thursday.

The water service interruption is due to the installation of a 500-mm butterfly valve on the existing mainline along Teodora San Luis (Fraternidad) near the Shell depot in Pandacan, Manila.

Areas that will have no water for 12 hours, include those bounded by Mendiola Extension, Nagtahan Extension, PNR tracks, Pasig River and Jesus street in Pandacan.

Areas that will have low pressure to no water, include those along Paz Mendoza Guanzon (Otis) and Canonigo, including lateral streets in Pandacan.

There will also be a water service interruption in some areas of Parañaque, Makati and Pasay City for three hours, starting at 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Thursday.

This is due to the replacement of three main current transformers at the Villamor Pumping Station along MSDR, near the approach of the Skyway (southbound).

In Parañaque: Commercial establishments along West Service Road from Edison to Marcelo Green Village; UPS 1 and 2; Marian Park 2; Makati South Hills; Merville; Carmella Merville; Molave Park; Buenavida; South Admiral, Executive Heights; Moonwalk 1, 2 and 3; South Green Park; commercial establishments along Iba Road from Bicutan Interchange to Malugay; Bricktown; Halik Alon; Sun Valley; BLS; Marimar; Santa Ana Village; Countryside; Ramos Village, Culdesac; MGV; SAV 1, 3, 5, 8, 9, 10 and 11; Greenheights; Remanville; Buensoceso; Malacañang Village; Barangay Village; Welcome Village; Camella Classics; Equity Homes; Santiago Homes; Ina Homes; Fil-Asia; F.C. Santos; Villa Mendoza; Justina Village; Vitalez Compound, UPS 5; San Dionisio Village; Rainbow Village; and Lopez Village.

In Makati: Magallanes Village

In Pasay: Villamor Air Base, Kalayaan Village; Merville Access Road (Bo. Balabag); Wella Compound; and a portion of Maricaban, Pasay (St. Peter, Higgins and Almazor).

The repair and maintenance works are part of Maynilad’s continuing program to upgrade and improve its water service to its customers in the west zone.
