- Jerry Botial -
An owner of a security agency and trusted man of Masbate Gov. Antonio Kho was ambushed and seriously wounded by two still unidentified gunmen yesterday morning in Valenzuela City.

Carlito Adigue, 47, owner of the Adigue Security and Detective Agency and resident of Karuhatan, Valenzuela City was taken to the Valenzuela City General Hospital for treatment.

Police reports said Adigue, and a native of Palanas in Masbate, sustained a bullet wound in the back, inches from his nape, from a caliber .45 pistol.

The victim was later transferred to the Manila Central University (MCU) Hospital.

Initial investigation showed Adigue was on his way to his office with his wife Jocelyn, 47, when he was waylaid and shot at pointblank range by the suspects believed to be hired killers.

The wife was unhurt.

The suspects were described by witnesses as between the ages of 25 and 30, both about 5’2" tall, both dark complexioned, one wore a yellow T-shirt while another was in black.

Both fled the scene toward Milestone Subdivision in Barangay Maisan, Valenzuela.

Relatives told probers that Adigue had just arrived from Masbate and was set to immediately return to attend to unspecified business matters when ambushed.

Probers said they were told Adigue was a close aide and supporter of Kho.
