RP to earn $ in sale of gas saving gadgets

The unprecedented increase in the prices of crude oil in the world market appears to bring opportunity for the Philippines as some 22 countries have raised their demands for an indigenous gas saving gadget.

The Khaos Super Turbo Charger (KSTC), an indigenous gas saving gadget that can save up to 50 percent on fuel consumption is now being sought for massive use in 22 countries in Europe, Middle East and Asia according to its manufacturer, Inventionhaus International Corp. (IIC). Isko Catibayan, spokesperson and vice president for business development of IIC said the increase in the sales of KSIC would mean more dollar earnings for the Philippine economy.

"The world is slowly recognizing the effective use of KSTC, a Filipino invented gas saving gadget due to the ongoing oil crisis. The Philippine economy stands to benefit from this situation by earning dollars from its sale to the world market," said Catibayan. Catibayan said IIC is now negotiating distributorship contracts with companies in countries like the United Kingdom, Scandinavia, Holland, Hungary, Switzerland, Portugal, France and Germany. It is also being sought for massive use in South America and the Middle East. The KSTC is currently being used in countries like Australia, Guam, South Korea, Indonesia, India, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, those in East and South Africa as well as in US territories like Saipan, Vietnam among others.

KSTC was invented in 1973 by Pablo Planas and became available in the commercial market in 2003.
