Sexy actress loses P19,500 to pickpockets

-
Sexy actress Ramona Revilla lost P19,500 to three female pickpockets at a shopping mall in Mandaluyong City last Thursday.

This despite one of the suspects being collared by Revilla’s male companion inside the mall’s comfort room.

The suspect later led policemen to her two other cohorts, who turned out to have sharpened their pickpocketing skills in Hong Kong.

Superintendent Ericson Velasquez, Mandaluyong City police chief, identified those arrested as Ofelia Verana, 46, a resident of Las Pinas; Daisy Guevarra, 23; and Cristina Marquez, 43, both residents of Sampaloc, Manila.

Velasquez said Revilla, 26, (Mohsyl Ensaftan in real life) and a resident of BF Homes, Parañaque City, was shopping with one Ben Sun Que, 39, at the SM Megamall when the incident took place.

At around 6 p.m., the actress and Que were inside the elevator when Verana, who was in front of them, dropped her handkerchief.

As Revilla bent down to reach for the handkerchief, Verana’s companions went to work and took the actress’ wallet containing P19,500. The Louis Vuitton wallet costs P30,000, the actress said.

It was too late when Revilla realized that she fell victim to pickpockets, who scampered in various directions.

Accompanied by security guards, Que searched the shopping mall for the suspects and eventually collared Verana inside the lady’s comfort room. The wallet and cash were not with her.

Revilla, Que and the security guards managed to convince Verana into turning in her two companions.

Verana called them up and after several hours, Guevarra and Marquez turned up and were arrested.

Velasquez said Guevarra and Marques surrendered the wallet, but only P700 and a dollar bill remained. – Non Alquitran
