Mikey movie set to hit Metro theaters

In an apparent case of bad timing, presidential son and Pampanga Rep. Juan Miguel "Mikey" Arroyo has a movie soon to open in theaters, entitled Sablay Ka Na, Pasaway Ka Pa with comedienne Ethel Booba.
The word "sablay" refers to a persons failure to do the right thing while "pasaway" is often used to describe a person who refuses to heed those in authority.
Arroyo is currently facing investigation for allegedly benefiting from jueteng payoffs. He denied the allegations against him, but took a leave of absence from the House of Representatives to pave the way for an investigation.
When he announced his decision, the young Arroyo even managed to crack a joke and asked the people to watch his movie, instead of focusing on the false charges against him.
Critics of the First Family claimed the Presidents son is quickly becoming a liability to her, just like First Gentleman Jose Miguel "Mike" Arroyo because of their alleged involvement in scandals.
The Presidents husband and brother-in-law have also been tagged as recipients of jueteng payola.
Some critics have advised the young Arroyo to just focus on his movie career instead of politics.
Arroyo has had 10 years experience in showbusiness.
His movies include Anak Pagsubok Lang Yan with Robin Padilla; Santo Santito (Anak ni Baby Ama), Hawak Mo Ang Buhay Mo, Sabayan ng Tapang, Kahit sa Bala Kakapit, Boyfriend Kong Pari, Akoy Iibigin mo Lalaking Matapang, Largado, Di Ko Kayang Tanggapin, Super Idol, Mahal Kita Kahit Sino Ka Pa, Walang Iba Kundi Ikaw, Di Kita Mareach, AB Normal College, Masamang Ugat and Six in the City.
Next in line for the presidential son is the remake of Zuma, which Cine Suerte plans to submit as its official entry to the 2005 Metro Manila Film Festival.
