Valenzuela payroll robbers escape with P80,000 loot

Two unidentified armed men robbed a Valenzuela City manpower agency of some P80,000 in payroll money on Saturday.

Remedios Felix, secretary of AIB Manpower Services, was on board her motorcycle along Servando st. in Barangay Mapulang Lupa in Valenzuela when she was flagged down by the armed suspects at around 2 p.m.

At gunpoint, the holduppers divested Felix of her bag, which contains some P80,000 in cash intended for the weekend salaries of the Rolex Plastic Manufacturing Co. workers at 4093 Servando st. in Barangay Mapulang Lupa.

The suspects just fled on foot toward De Castro st.

Superintendent Billy Beltran, the city police chief, immediately ordered a manhunt against the suspects but the police failed to catch up with the robbers.

Weekend payroll robbery is the new concern of cops in the northern metropolis.

Despite added police visibility on the streets, holduppers often pull off robberies even in broad daylight.

In Caloocan City, police remain clueless on the identity of two motorcycle riding suspects who robbed and shot Christopher Nacu at around 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

Nacu, 28, liaison officer of Luzvic Manpower Agency, was traveling on his motorcycle along Tolentino st. near corner Austira st. in Barangay 88, Caloocan City when he was robbed by two armed men.

When Nacu resisted, he was shot by the suspects.

The victim landed in a hospital with a bullet wound in the abdomen while the suspects fled with P160,000 in payroll money.
