16-hour water cutoff in Manila
April 22, 2005 | 12:00am
Some areas of Manila unaffected by the raw water supply shortage will have no water for 16 hours starting 11 p.m. today, April 22, until 3 p.m. tomorrow, April 23.
The water service interruption is due to the installation of a full bore flow meter on the existing 300-mm CIP mainline along Pedro Gil street corner Benitez street, Paco, Manila.
Areas that will have no water for 16 hours are those bounded by Pedro Gil, President Quirino Avenue and Benitez street, including lateral streets in Manila.
The repair and maintenance works are part of Maynilads continuing program to upgrade and improve its water service to its customers in the west zone.
Affected customers are advised to store water good for the duration of the water service interruption. They may also call Maynilad Water Hotline 1626 or text Maynilad through Smart 7001626 for the water-rationing schedule.
