Parsons takes on robbers anew
April 21, 2005 | 12:00am
Actor turned politician Sonny Parsons was involved in another shootout yesterday, managing to wound two of three men who robbed his neighbor of P23,500 cash in Marikina City.
Also former member of the popular singing group Hagibis, Parsons, (Jose Nabiula in real life), exchanged shots with three robbers who were fleeing on board a tricycle after taking the bag of his neighbor, Maria Cristina Regato, 35, a bookeeper.
Regato lives five houses away from the actors home on the corner of Bronze and Rainbow streets, SSS Village in Barangay Concepcion.
Responding policemen later found the abandoned tricycle in Maria Corazon st., Barangay Cupang, Antipolo City. The passenger seat had traces of blood.
"I believe I wounded two of them," Parsons said.
It was the third time Parsons engaged criminals in a gunfight.
Two years ago he shot dead three men who tried to rob his house. He once again used his gun to shoot members of a gang who tried to retaliate a few weeks after the burglary attempt. Non Alquitran>
