Operatives of the Central Police District (CPD) are hunting down two policemen allegedly involved in the slaying of a manager of an automotive service center.
Suspects Jay Orlando and Ariel Guadaña, who are said to be assigned at Camp Vicente Lim in Canlubang, Laguna, reportedly managed to escape after allegedly shooting to death Patrick James Gochingco, 29, following a confrontation over a parking slot on Saturday in Barangay Commonwealth in Quezon City.
The suspects and the victim were neighbors on 3rd st., Bitoon Circle, police said.
Initial information gathered by detectives disclosed that Gochingco went home together with his wife, Ruth, after picking up a vehicle of a customer at around 2:45 a.m.
Gochingco parked along 3rd st. and let his wife get inside the house. Moments later, the suspects, who were reportedly drinking with relatives scolded Gochingco for parking in front of their house.
Subsequently, the suspects went down and approached Gochingco. Ariel Guadaña allegedly took Gochingco by the collar and out of the car. His brother, Jay Orlando, allegedly fired at Gochingco, hitting the victim in the chest.
The bullet exited through Gochingcos body and hit Jayson Platon, 23, a relative of the suspects.
Gochingco died on the spot while Platon was rushed to the East Avenue Medical Center. The suspects fled immediately.
Gochingcos wife and relatives are urging authorities for the speedy resolution of the case.
