Agents of the Northern-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group arrested two notorious robbers during an operation last Friday in Caloocan City.
Superintendent William Macavinta, Northern-CIDG chief, identified the suspects as Genesis Agustin, 18, and Mark Quimado, 20, both jobless and residents of Phase II, Area III in Dagat-Dagatan.
Agustin and Quimado were arrested at around 4:30 p.m. by the CIDG agents aided by barangay leaders led by Kagawad Larry Camacho of Barangay 14, Zone 2, District 2 while scouting for possible victims along a street on Area III in Dagat-Dagatan.
Vher Torres, a Northern-CIDG clerk, said that the suspects, released from Caloocan City Jail only recently also for a robbery case, held up his son at around 9:30 p.m. last Thursday.
The boy, he said, was walking in front of the Macario Asistio High School along Pampano street when approached by two men.
Armed with bladed weapons, the men threatened to hurt the boy unless he surrendered his bracelet and wristwatch.
The suspects fled immediately after divesting the boy of his valuables.
At the police station, the boy positively identified Agustin and Quimado as the men who robbed him.
