SPD snares top fugitive in Taguig

Just days after nabbing the third most wanted man in southern Metro Manila, the Southern Police District (SPD) have arrested a fugitive ranked seventh on its list of wanted criminals.
SPD director Chief Superintendent Willy Garcia announced yesterday the arrest of Wilfredo Lumen, a suspect in several murder cases in the district. The fugitive was arrested in Taguig.
Lumen had been the third most wanted man in the municipality.
He was arrested at around 8 p.m. last week by intelligence police operatives through a warrant issued by Pasig Regional Trial Court Branch 164.
Garcia said Lumen was wanted for a drug-related case. Police had been hunting him down in the last eight months.
"We will never stop until all, or at least most of these wanted criminals, fall into our hands," Garcia told The STAR in an interview.
Recently, the districts third most wanted man, identified as Marlon Catindoy, was arrested following a chase with police from Pasay City to Makati City.
He faces two murder charges and several others for various criminal offenses.
The SPDs most wanted man a robbery with homicide and drug suspect, remains at large, but police vowed "to make use of all resources to get him."
