The Southern Police District (SPD) started their investigation yeterday afternoon on the death of an unidentified half-naked woman found inside a garbage drum in FTI Terminal in Taguig.
PO3 Alain Sigua, case investigator, said they have yet to identify the fatality and merely described her as around 30 to 35 years of age, 52 to 54 in height with fair complexion and shoulder-length hair. A lone stab wound was seen on the left side of her collar bone. Her body was also cut in two.
Initial investigation showed that the body was discovered at around 7:15 a.m. by Asela Montes and Josephone Huran as they were about to throw their trash inside the blue plastic drum in Barangay Western Bicutan.
At first, they said they thought the plastic bag inside the drum contained trash but when they looked at it closer they were surprised to see a body and immediately alerted the FTI Security Force and the police Sub-Station 1.
Sigua said the victim was croucnhing in an inverted position and her legs, from the mid-thigh, were severed from her upper body. She only wore a green and red striped T-shirt.
SPD-SOCO Police Senior Inspector Elizalde Odi said the woman had only been dead for not more than six hours when found. Odi said the victim could have been killed in another place as there were no traces of blood in the vicinity except the ones found inside the garbage drum. Evelyn Macairan
