TMG cops nabs 3 car thieves

Three suspected car thieves were arrested over the weekend by officers of the Traffic Management Group (TMG) during an operation in North Fairview, Quezon City.

TMG director Chief Superintendent Danilo Mangila identified the three suspects as Anthony Dizon, a welder; Alberto Quiambao, a tricycle driver; and Adrian Bungay, caretaker of a house located in Apalit, Pampanga where a stolen vehicle had initially been recovered.

The suspects were arrested at a house in North Fairview the other day based on a complaint filed by Sam Gargaceran, a resident of Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City.

Complainant Gargaceran said his white Toyota Tamarraw FX (ULH-155) was stolen while it was parked in front of his house last July 17.

Through a vehicle locator, the victim was able to trace the car at the suspect’s house in Quezon City.

Police recovered dismantled engines and other parts from various vehicles during the raid. Another stolen vehicle, a Mitsubishi Adventure (WGV-845), was also seized by the police during the raid.

Mangila said the three suspects are facing charges for violation of the anti-car theft and anti-fencing laws.
