Interior and Local Government Secretary Angelo Reyes is set to inspect today a shabu laboratory that was accidentally discovered last Saturday in Valenzuela City due to a false fire alarm.
Valenzuela City police chief Senior Superintendent Jose Marcelo said accompanying Reyes would be Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Force (AID-SOTF) chief Deputy Director General Edgar Aglipay.
The recovered chemicals inside at least 145 drums and several equipment used in manufacturing shabu will also be presented to the two officials.
The old warehouse on 18th street in Villa Liway-way, Barangay Maysan was discovered at around 2:15 p.m. after residents in the area reported to the city fire department that there was fire inside the building.
Chief Inspector Rafael Santiago, Northern Police District anti-illegal drugs-special operations group chief, said that the local fire bureau, found out that the smoke emanating from the warehouse was caused by stockpiled chemicals. Pete Laude
