The victim, Analyn Duran, a native of Cotabato City, sustained multiple head and body injuries and died on the spot after falling from the Strata 300 Suites located at the corner of P. Guevarra and Sioson streets.
Police said Duran, who works for a Filipino-Chinese family, had been acting strangely in the past months after her father died.
After the family had dinner last Monday, Duran emerged from the room of her three-year-old ward and offered to wash the dishes in place of another maid. She repeatedly bade goodbye to another maid, Rosalita Drio.
It was the last time she saw Duran alive.
Police said her employers and Drio retired to their rooms in the condo unit at about 8 p.m.
Minutes later, a maid in a unit from a lower floor watched in horror as a body fell to the ground.
Police later found a suicide note inside the ward’s room. Duran revealed that her late father kept appearing to her in her dreams, which caused her much distress. – Non Alquitran
