Two men caught stealing manhole cover

Two men were put behind bars after police caught them in the act of stealing a steel manhole cover in broad daylight near the Central Police District headquarters over the weekend.
Rogelio Estrella, 32, and Apolinario Tesoro, 34, both of Escopa Bliss, Project 4, Quezon City, were arrested by PO3 Christopher Ronquillo after they were spotted taking off the manhole cover at the corner of Maka-Diyos and Maginhawa Streets in Barangay Botocan.
The suspects were about to flee when Ronquillo approached them and questioned them over the loot. Failing to justify their act, the suspects were brought to the CPD-Criminal Investigation Unit for interrogation.
The two are now detained at the CPD -CIU and were charged with theft.
