Tinga, Taguig officials set to take oath

Taguig Mayor Freddie Tinga, re-elected for a second term of office, will take his oath before Supreme Court Justice Alicia-Austria-Martinez in an inaugural celebration on June 30, 8 a.m. at the municipal hall grounds.
The oathtaking of Vice Mayor George Elias and the 12 councilors of Taguig will be administered by Justice Dante Tinga.
A concelebrated mass will precede the event at 7 a.m. Local government officials and employees; members of other government agencies, business and religious sectors, civic groups, with the people of Taguig have been invited to grace the event.
All set to take their oath of office are Councilors Arnel Cerafica, Allan Paul Cruz, Elpidio Javier, Glen San Pedro, Delio Santos, Baltazar Mariategue of the first district; Henry Dueñas, Ricardo Jordan, Aurelio Paulo Bartolome, Marisse Balina-Eron, Arvin Alit, and Noel Dizon of the second district.
Both Mayor Tinga and Vice-Mayor Elias, of the Kilusang Diwa ng Taguig (KDT) party, won by a very wide margin against their rivals in the recent elections.
