A couple came home from dinner last Sunday night only to be stabbed repeatedly by robbers who were waiting inside their house at an exclusive subdivision in Muntinlupa City.
Nilo Paszcoguin, his wife Edwina and his mother-in-law Nenita Biag arrived at their home on Acasia street in Ayala-Alabang Village at around 10:30 p.m. after dining at a restaurant.
But after parking one of his 15 cars in the garage, four unidentified suspects all armed with knives "welcomed" them as they opened the front door.
Muntinlupa police chief Senior superintendent Erasto Lim Sanchez said the suspects began stabbing the victims in different parts of the body . They later fled the scene on board a still unknown type of vehicle.
The victims were immediately rushed to the Asian Hospital and Medical Center for medical attention, police said.
Initial investigation revealed that the suspects carted away a gold Bulgary watch and three licensed firearms from the masters bedroom.
"We dont know yet what else they stole ," said Sanchez, who added that the housemaids were still in state of shock and were not ready for an interview.
Sanchez said the victims are still confined at the hospital, but were declared out of danger.
The chief of police said they are looking at all angles , including the involvement of those left in the house when the couple and the old woman were away.
