Cook beaten up in Las Piñas

A riot between two male groups, both reportedly under the influence of liquor, resulted to the death of a 23-year-old cook in Las Piñas early yesterday morning.

PO2 Albert Arevalo, case investigator, said the victim Ricardo Danganan, of Block 8, Lot 10, Marigold Street, Equitable Village, Talon 4, Las Piñas City suffered severe head contusions. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Las Piñas District Hospital.

Meanwhile, another man, identified only as Jomar, was brought to the Perpetual Help Hospital in Las Piñas for treatment after he sustained a stab wound in the buttocks.

The victim’s remains was brought to the Filipinas Funeral Parlor, while the Las Piñas police launched a manhunt for the suspects. — Evelyn Macairan
