Former Senate President Jovito Salonga has made an appeal to his fellow Pasigueños to vote for lawyer Roman Romulo in the lone district of Pasig City.
"Roman Romulo is the most qualified and morally fit to represent the people of Pasig in Congress," he said.
Salonga, after having met and reviewed the qualifications of all the candidates running for congress in Pasig City, finally broke his silence to say that he strongly believes that Romulo because of his integrity, qualifications and sincerity to serve the people of Pasig, is best fit to represent the city in Congress.
"Why am I supporting Atty. Roman Romulo? Because he deserves to be Pasig congressman and one of our lawmakers in Congress. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Ateneo and finished law school at UP. He has practiced as a lawyer and has experience in crafting laws. I see in him three traits: competence, moral integrity and selflessness to help the poor and underprivileged of Pasig. He is one of our youth who will become the hope and pride of our country. Lets not forget... Atty. Roman Romulo for congressman," Salonga said.
Romulo, having helped and done a lot of projects for the people of Pasig, has been endorsed by various civic and church groups in his candidacy in Pasig.
He comes from the illustrious clan of statesmen headed by General Carlos P. Romulo and his father, Executive Secretary Alberto Romulo.
