A belated report reaching the homicide section of the Western Police District (WPD) yesterday said that the victim, identified as Reymond Reyes, a Grade 2 student of Aldana Elementary School and a resident of 1850 G. Tuazon st., Sampaloc, was declared dead on arrival at the Ospital ng Sampaloc.
Probers said the boy sustained third degree burns on his back, the left ear and left shoulder.
Reports said the boy, together with his cousin Cherry Emaden, played the banned games in a house in Sampaloc. While playing, the victim reportedly dropped his coin underneath the video machine. The boy reached out for the coin and accidentally touched the iron bar support of the machine where an exposed live wire was wrapped around.
Police are now hunting the alleged maintainer of the gambling machines, identified only as "Reggie" from Pasay City.
