Maynilad warns consumers vs unauthorized collectors

-
Maynilad Water Services Inc. is warning its customers not to deal with unauthorized Maynilad collectors following the loss of three batches of bills representing collectibles amounting to more than P200,000 from its customers in Novaliches, Quezon City.

The lost bills cover Blocks 76, 77, 82 and 84 in Lagro Subdivision and Romans, Thesalonians, Hebrew, Galatians, Ephesians, Corinthians, Don Mariano Marcos, Haggai, and Philippians streets in Jordan Plains Subdivision.

Normen Kahulugan, Maynilad’s Novaliches branch manager, said the 313 bills were believed to have been stolen last Feb. 6 from a cabinet at the Novaliches branch. He said the bills from batch numbers 264, 261 and 338 were discovered missing when bill custodian Lydia Pallingayan inspected the cabinet.

Maynilad is urging its customers to report any information concerning the missing receipts to the Novaliches branch at tel. no. 418-8134 or they may call Maynilad Hotline 1626. Customers are also advised that payments made using the lost bills will not be honored.

Maynilad has instituted measures to prevent a repetition of the theft.
