A teenager was instantly killed while another was seriously injured after a 10-wheeler truck hit them along EDSA in Quezon Cty early yesterday morning.
Analiza Villar, 17, of Grace Village, Caloocan City died on the spot due to a fractured skull while Glenn Ramos, 21, of 141 Tolentino St., San Francisco Del Monte, was confined at the East Avenue Medical Center due to severe head and body injuries.
Suspects Rommel Radores and Pedrito Dagupo were arrested during a pursuit operation by authorities in Makati City. Radores was the driver of the 10-wheeler truck, with license plates CEK-584 and loaded with sugar, while Dagupo was his assistant.
Initial investigation showed that cousins Villar and Ramos were aboard their motorcycle, with license plates UV-2681, traversing the southbound lane of EDSA when the truck hit them around 5:45 a.m. near New York St.
The truck driven by Radores was reportedly racing with another truck and collided with the victims motorcycle, throwing them off Villar and Ramos.
