More classrooms for poor students

One after the other, the Muntinlupa city government, led by Mayor Jaime Fresnedi, is about to construct two additional schoolbuildings at the Itaas Elementary School and aTunasan Elementary School for the benefit of more poor children who will enroll in the city this coming schoolyear.
Each schoolbuilding will contain four storeys and 12 classrooms enough to accommodate about 600 students each.
Next in line are several covered courts to be established at the following places Villa Carolina 2, Tunasan; Country Homes, Putatan; Summitville Sudivision, Putatan; and Tierra Nueva Subdivision, Cupang.
Engineer Vic Navarro, city engineer, said that currently his office is busy with various road concreting works at Mark, Gilder, and Schilling streets in Villa Carolina 1 as well as in Newh Rain Subdivision.
Asphalt overlaying projects are likewise held at JPA road, Victoria Homes, Don Juan Bayview, Soldiers Hills and Alabang Ilaya.
In preparation for the approaching rainy months, the office is undertaking declogging jobs along the stretch of the national road going to Sucat, eliminating silted materials through mechanical scraper.
Earlier, the city opened the P12.5 million worth Central Elementary School (CES) which will accommodate 600 students more as Fresnedi dished out P5 million for the professional growth and training of public school teachers in the city.
