Shabu seized in Ermita

Shabu worth an estimated P600,000 were seized from two suspected drug pushers in a buy-bust operation by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Ermita, Manila last Wednesday.
PDEA director general Undersecretary Anselmo Avenido Jr. identified the arrested suspects as Abdul Maca-alang, 34, and Naima Maca-alang, 19, both residents of Block 17-A Baseco Island, Port Area, Manila.
Superintendent Pepito Domantay, PDEA-Special Enforcement Service (SES) head, said the suspects were arrested by his men at the back of the Quirino Grandstand in Rizal Park at about 4:45 p.m.
Some 300 grams of shabu were seized from the suspects during the operation.
The suspects are now detained at the PDEA headquarters along NIA Road in Quezon City. Christina Mendez
