PS-4 chief named best of the Finest

Superintendent Manolo de Guzman Martinez, station commander of Sampaloc Police Station (PS-4), has bested 10 other Manila station chiefs of police for the much coveted "Station Commander of the Year" award on the celebration of the 103rd anniversary of the Western Police District today.
Likewise, the "Best Police Station of the Year" award also goes to PS-4, which Martinez heads.
Martinez, a true-blooded Manila police officer, rose from the ranks, starting as beat patrolman rising to his present position. He steered his police station which has the biggest area of responsibility in the premier city of Manila to an all time record high in crime solution efficiency. The station covers the University Belt Area.
Street crimes decreased tremendously due to effective police visibility, police presence and sustained anti-drug campaign.
