-
Quezon City Mayor Feliciano Belmonte Jr. will lead on Monday the presentation of plaques to operatives of the Central Police District responsible for the arrest and filing of charges against suspects in the P.8 million payroll holdup of the city’s social services development department in September.

The plaques will be given to the policemen after the flag-raising ceremony.

Police have filed robbery charges against the suspects. Ryan Justimbaste, an AWOL employee of the department, allegedly masterminded the heist.

Justimbaste was positively identified by three SSDD employees who were help up on their way to their nearby office after obtaining the cash from a Landbank branch on Sept. 26.

Belmonte said the apprehension of the three suspects was the result of the relentless drive of the police against all forms of lawlessness and criminality in the city as well as the continuing perseverance and dedication of the city’s law enforcers who continue to remain true to their profession.
