Worker falls to his death

A laborer died last Monday after falling from the sixth floor of a building under construction in Malate, Manila .
Danilo Medina, 21, of 118 Legaspi street Pasay City, died while being taken to the hospital .
Investigator said the incident took place at around 2:30 p.m. at the corner of M.H. del Pilar and Pedro Gil street, Malate.
Investigation showed that the victim and a another worker were cleaning the newly installed windows at the sixth floor of the Sheraton Marina Hotel when he lost his balance and fell.
Police said that Medina failed to properly hook his safety belt, which is intended to protect workers. Cecille Suerte Felipe, Nestor Etolle
