1 dead in QC fire

An 18-year-old boy was electrocuted after he stepped on a live wire while helping a neighbor save belongings in a fire that razed houses yesterday afternoon in Quezon City.
Police identified the fatality as Rene Tenedero, of 204 Hernandez street, Barangay San Antonio, San Francisco Del Monte. He was pronounced dead on arrival by doctors of the St. Agnes Hospital.
Initial investigation revealed that the fire began about 12:50 p.m. A fire-out was declared at 2:08 p.m.
Arson probers have yet to determine the cause of the blaze. No estimate of the damage was available as of press time. Katherine Adraneda
