2 teeners killed in gang war

Two teenagers were killed while another was seriously injured after rival youth gangs clashed before dawn yesterday in San Andres, Manila.
Dennis Cederos, 18, of Dagonoy street, San Andres; and Louie Roy, 17, of Topacio street, also in San Andres died while being treated at the Ospital ng Maynila due to shrapnel wounds from an improvised shotgun known as "sumpak."
The names of the feuding gangs were not immediately determined by the police although there were reports that the two were not members of either gangs and were merely caught in the crossfire.
Senior Police Officer 4 Benjamin Cabatbat of the Western Police District (WPD) Homicide Section identified the injured as Joseph Bonoan, of 2401 Oro street in San Andres. He was reported to be in critical condition in an undisclosed hospital.
Investigation showed the clash happened at 3 a.m. at the corner of Estrada and Dagonoy streets in San Andres.
What triggered the melee is still being investigated. Jose Aravilla
