December 1, 2003 | 12:00am
An unidentified man was found dead yesterday morning in a dumpsite in Taguig. His hands were tied behind his back.
The body was already bloated and in an advanced state of decomposition, making it impossible to immediately determine what caused his death nor find signs of torture, Senior Inspector Emma Galero of the Southern Police District-Scene of the Crime Operation (SPD-SOCO) said.
Galero added it was also hard to determine the dead mans age because of his bodys condition but said he could be between 35 to 45 years old.
Authorities learned about the body after a Barangay Hagonoy official received a text message from an unidentified person at around 7 a.m. yesterday informing him that a pair of legs were seen sticking out from the dumpsite at the CP Tinga Compound.
According to Galero, the man was around 57", medium-built with short hair.
The victim was wearing a black windbreaker and a blue basketball jersey with the words "Makati Honda Cars" and the number "15" emblazoned in front. At the back was the surname "Cruz". Nikko Dizon
