Another body found in Taguig

Another corpse was found in Taguig yesterday, the third in three days.

Police said the victim, identified as Muhedin Macabuat, 39, of Gunao street, Quiapo, Manila, was discovered with six gunshot wounds in various parts of the body at around 2 a.m. along A. Reyes street, Road 9 of Purok 3, Lower Bicutan.

PO2 Junrene Ubico said residents in the area gunshots earlier.

"Unfortunately, there was no one in the area who could provide us with further information," the investigator told The STAR.

Police are alarmed over the series of corpse dumping in their area. Two bodies, including that of an unidentified Chinese-looking man, were found in the area last Wednesday.

They did not rule out the possibility that the killings were perpetrated by one group.

Police said a follow-up investigation on the case would be conducted. – Edu Punay
