The 10-year-old schoolgirl who was abducted in Paco, Manila last Friday remains with her kidnappers, an official of the National Anti-Kidnapping Task Force (NAKTF) said yesterday.
Col. Danilo Servando, NAKTF spokesman, has denied receiving reports that the suspects had demanded P10-million from the victims family, saying that not a single member of the family has cooperated with the authorities.
"We are conducting a continuing investigation. We have not made contact with the family," Servando said in a telephone interview.
At least four armed men shot and severely injured the victims yaya, Maricel de Dios, and driver, Hilario Resposo, when they fought it out with the kidnappers early Friday morning.
The girl was seen crying before she was shoved into the suspects get-away vehicle.
One of the witnesses said the suspects even pointed their guns to onlookers, threatening to shoot them if they continue to stare.
A source from the Chinese-Filipino community said the suspects have demanded P10-million for the girls release.
Another kidnap victim, Coca Cola executive Betti Chua Sy was laid to rest yesterday at the Ever Memorial Park in Valenzuela City.
