WPD chief bares major reshuffle

Western Police District (WPD) director Chief Superintendent Pedro Bulaong announced yesterday a major reshuffle in the command, affecting all station commanders and district units.

A simple turn-over ceremony was also held at the WPD headquarters yesterday afternoon.

Bulaong appointed Superintendent Danilo Estapon as chief of WPD-Station 1 (Balut, Tondo), while Senior Superintendent Danilo Abarsoza as chief of Station 2 (Moriones, Tondo) and Superintendent Romulo Sapitula at Station 3 (Central Market).

Superintendent Elmer Jamias would be the chief at Station 5 (Ermita); while Superintendent Araceli Hafileña is the Station 6 chief (Sta. Ana) and Superintendent Rodolfo Llorca at the Station 7 (Jose Abad Santos).

Superintendent Efren Perez is now the chief of Station 8 (Sta. Mesa); while Superintendent George Gaddi at the Station 9 (Malate); Superintendent Roberto dela Rosa at the Station 10 (Pandacan) and Superintendent Bernardo Diaz at Station 11 (Binondo).

Superintendent Co Yee Co Jr. would be at the WPD-Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit while Superintendent Clifton Empiso as his deputy; Superintendent Frumento Villareal at the WPD-Service Reaction Unit; Superintendent Hospicio Guevarra at the Legal Unit; and Superintendent Antonio Sebastian at the Human Resources Development.

Senior Inspector Raymundo Liguden is the chief of District Police Intelligence unit (DPIU); Chief Inspector Juanito Taluban at the Detective Beat Patrol Unit and Senior Inspector Alejandro Yanquilling Jr. at the Homicide Section.

The new chief of the Theft and Robbery is Senior Inspector Benjamin Reyes while head of the Anti-Carnapping unit is Senior Inspector Leopoldo Mangilinan and Senior Inspector Joselito Sta. Teresa is the Warrant Section.

Bulaong said the reshuffle was meant to further improve the crime prevention and solution of the command. – Cecille Suerte Felipe
