Cop killed in Tondo

A policeman was stabbed dead by a neighbor who got mad at him for refusing to lend him money in Tondo, Manila last Sunday night.
Although wounded, Police Officer 3 Roberto Martin, 39, managed to bring himself to the Jose Reyes Memorial Center. Doctors, however, failed to save him.
Witnesses said the suspect a certain "Oneng" of Benito street, Gagalangin, Tondo managed to escape after the stabbing.
Investigators said the stabbing took place in front of the victims house on Hermosa street, also in Gagalangin, Tondo at around 10:30 p.m.
Witnesses told probers that the victim was standing in front of his house when the suspect approached him and tried to borrow money.
The officer declined the request, which angered the suspect.
Probers are now hunting the suspect believed to be hiding in Tondo area. Cecille Suerte Felipe, Nestor Etolle
