5 women arrested in drug busts

Five women were arrested by elements of the Central Police District Station 9 (Anonas) Drug Enforcement Unit (CPP-DEU) in seprarate buy bust operations in Quezon City last Monday night.

Police apprehended Jane Estemada, 24, of 24 Francisco St., Krus na Ligas; Merlene Moralla, of 48 UP Campus, Evangeline Santos, 43, of 27 Galilan St., Barangay Tatalon; Jane Bonggavilla, 25 and Rina Uy, of Project 2, Quezon City.

The police first conducted a buy bust operation at Estamada’s house and apprehended the suspect. Questioned by the police, Estemada told the lawmen of the address of the others.

The women are detained at the Anonas police Station while appropriate charges are being readied against them.

Police seized 1.2 grams of shabu worth P5,000.
