A 53-year-old seaman was found dead the other day in front of a store in North Harbor in Tondo, Manila.
Senior Police Officer 2 Steve Casimiro of the Western Police District (WPD) homicide section identified the man as Herminiano Sombise, of Tunasan, Malabon and an employee of a domestic shipping company in Pier 2.
Residents in Area-F, Pier 2 where the victim was found, said they have seen Sombise in front of Joyces Store with his co-workers. But police said none could tell how the victim died.
Investigation showed that when his co-workers left, Sombise stayed and slept on the improvised wooden bed in front of the store.
The victims wife, Nena, could not recall any medical reason that could have caused the death of her husband.
