Police nab gangster in Pandacan

For stabbing a 22-year-old jobless man in Pandacan, Manila, a gangster was arrested by police operatives yesterday.

Tilpa Akil, 18 of 873 Maliwalas street, Kahilum in Pandacan reportedly stabbed and killed Dave Alde, of 346 Labores Extension, Pandacan, at around 8 p.m. the other day.

Akil, along with five cohorts, immediately fled after the incident but was cornered by the police and detained.

Police Officer 2 Roberto Aduca of the Western Police District (WPD) Station 10 said Alde was having a conversation with friends along Quirino Avenue near his residence when six young men approached and stabbed him.

Although wounded, Alde still managed to run to his house and ask for help. he was rushed to the Ospital ng Maynila but died while being treated, probers said.

The motive of the killing is yet to be established as police continue to hunt down Akil’s cohorts. — Edu Punay
