Tricycle thief arrested in Valenzuela

A 19-year-old suspected car thief was arrested while aboard a stolen vehicle Saturday night in Valenzuela City.
Superintendent Jose Marcelo, Valenzuela City police chief, identified the suspect as Reynaldo Gan, of 900 Orbe Compound, Sitio Basalao in Barangay Bagbaguin.
Emylene Martin, 20, of 222 Lords Candle street, De Castro Subdivision, Barangay Mapulang Lupa, Valenzuela, said that someone drove her tricycle away from her house.
Martin immediately went out to check on her vehicle that was parked right in front of her residence at around 10:30 p.m. The suspect, she said, sped off towards Paso de Blas.
Martin immediately informed her husband, George, a member of the Valenzuela Citizen on Patrol (VCOP) about the incident.
Aboard a VCOP patrol car, George and his group ran after the thief and were able to corner the suspect along Paso de Blas.
