A worker died after being electrocuted while fixing a signage on a building in Makati yesterday afternoon.
Police identified the fatality as one Leonardo Nagulat, 36, married, of Vergel street, Pasay.
He died before reaching the Makati Medical Center, police said.
Investigation showed the victim was at the 19th floor of the UCPB Building on Paseo de Roxas, Salcedo Village, with two other workers when the incident happened at around 4 p.m.
They were employed by a contractor hired to fix the buildings signage, police said.
Case investigators, PO2 Noel Pardinas of the Homicide Division, said the victim was reportedly replacing some busted lights on the buildings signage when he must have touched a live electric wire.
The victims co-workers said they were busy with their work when they heard Nagulat scream and shout their names for help.
They said they saw the wire in Nagulats hand.
The two rushed Nagulat to the UCPB clinic before he was transferred to the hospital.
Pardinas said initial investigation showed that the incident was an accident. Nikko Dizon
