A taxi driver died after losing consciousness behind the wheel along Roosevelt Avenue in Quezon City the other night.
Lamberto Orellano, 58, driver of a LEIET Taxi (XFF-370) bore no external injuries when examined at the hospital. He was rushed to the St. Agnes Hospital but was declared dead on arrival by an attending physician.
Senior Police Officer 1 Rodrigo Barrameda, officer-on-case, said Orellano was driving his cab on Roosevelt Avenue in San Francisco del Monte to drop off a passenger when he suddenly lost consciousness.

He was surprised to find out that the taxi driver was unconscious behind the steering wheel. He immediately brought Orellano to the hospital.
Police said Orellano could have suffered a heart attack while driving.
