A South Korean businessman incensed at nearly being hit by a taxi on Roxas Boulevard in Malate ended up in the hands of Manila police when he vented his anger by exposing himself yesterday.
Forty-year-old Hyun Jong was booked at the Western Police District-General Assignments Section (WPD-GAS) for violation of Article 201 of the Revised Penal Code, also known as exhibitionism.
Police said Hyun was still shouting and cursing when he and his companions were taken to a police station. One of his two companions, also a Korean, was almost booked for being unruly and disrespecting apprehending police officers Inspector Kimberly Molitas and PO2 John Taruc.
Hyun and his two Korean pals allegedly bad mouthed policemen at the station, saying "Philippine police no good."
Taruc told The STAR that he and Molitas were on their way to headquarters when they spotted Hyun along Roxas Boulevard exposing himself at around 10 a.m.
For his part, Hyun said in broken English that he was sorry for what happened. He pointed out that he was just mad at a taxi driver, who almost hit them as they crossed Roxas Boulevard.
