Police Officer 2 Eddie Tirazona, case investigator, said barangay security officer Adgel Villareal discovered the body at around 3 a.m. along Road 1 corner Block 3, Zone 11, PanAm Village, Barangay Sto. Niño in Western Bicutan.
The victim sustained three stab wounds in the back and another in the chest. From the size and depth of the wound, authorities said the perpetrator used a 29-inch knife.
Tirazona described the victim to be between 32 to 35 years old, with brown complexion, slim, and wearing a striped polo shirt, black slacks and black leather shoes. He had no identifying marks.
They also recovered a backpack near the victim, who was found lying face down on the pavement. The bag contained an EEI construction company T-shirt and some personal effects.
"We were not able to identify him because he had no wallet. The suspects might have taken it, but he might be a nearby resident because at around 2 a.m., he went to a sari-sari store 50 to 60 meters away from the crime scene where he drank two bottles of beer and ate some grilled food," he added.
The police officer said there was also a possibility the suspect might be living near the area.
"The suspect might have been wearing sandals because the place was muddy and a sandal print was found on the buttocks of the victim."
The body has been taken to the Philippine National Police Crime Laboratory for autopsy.
