Couple shot by burglar

A retired policeman and his wife are in serious condition after being shot repeatedly by a burglar inside the bedroom of their house in Fairview, Quezon City at dawn yesterday.
Ret. Superintendent Edgardo Saporsantos, 51, and wife Maria Elena sustained gunshot wounds in various parts of their body and are now confined at the Far Eastern University (FEU) Hospital also in Fairview.
Initial investigation revealed that the incident happened around 4 a.m. inside the couples house located at 56 Fairlane corner Dutch streets, Barangay Fairview.
Saporsantos and his wife were awakened by the noise apparently created by the suspect who managed to enter their room.
Before escaping, the suspect shot the victims at close range hitting them in parts of their body. Katherine Adraneda
