Another vigilante victim found in QC

Another lifefless body of a suspected drug pusher was found dumped early yesterday morning in Barangay Sto. Domingo in Quezon City.

This brings to five the number of alleged salvage victims, including dismembered body parts, discovered in various areas in the city in a period of one month.

The man, who was described to be between 30 to 40 years old, about 5’ 7" tall, skinny, and with fair complexion, was found lying face down under a Balete tree, police said.

Senior Police Officer 1 Salvador Buenviaje said the cadaver was discovered around 2 a.m. by a patrolling barangay tanod identified as Pablito Solitana on Samat street in Barangay Sto Domingo.

The victim, in his underwear, had a nylon cord around his neck. His face was wrapped with a towel and a placard with the words "Wag n’yo ako tularan, kayo na susunod" was placed near the body.

Further examination revealed that the victim had gunshot wounds in the back of his head.

Members of the Scene of the Crime Operations (SOCO) retrieved two spent shells from a caliber .45 handgun and a sachet of shabu at the crime scene.

Earlier, Central Police District (CPD) director Chief Superintendent Napoleon Castro ordered Col. Raul Medina to look deeper into the salvaging cases to determine the persons behind the killings.

The so-called Vigilante Group-QC Chapter has been claiming responsibility for the execution of alleged drug pushers. – Katherine Adraneda
