Lawyer hurt in ambush

A Fil-Chinese lawyer was seriously injured after he was ambushed by two unidentified armed men, believed to be hired killers, the other day in Malabon, police said yesterday.
Superintendent Pedro Ramos, Malabon police chief, identified the victim as Michael Tan y Sy, 32, married, resident of 99 Industry II Road, Araneta Village, Barangay Potrero in Malabon. According to a belated police report, the ambush occurred at around 6:50 a.m. Wednesday.
The suspects on board a motorcycle, waylaid Tan as he was driving his maroon Toyota Corolla (WSF-885) away from his residence. Tan sustained a gunshot wound in the back and subsequently failed to control his vehicle which rammed a concrete fence wall. Jerry Botial
