Singer hurt in car mishap

A folk singer and three employees of a congressman were injured after figuring in a vehicular accident at dawn yesterday along Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City.
The Central Police District Traffic Sector 5 said the incident happened around 3 a.m. in front of the entrance gate of Don Antonio Heights.
Singer Noel Cabangon, 39 was initially involved in a minor accident involving his Honda Civic and the car belonging to Venzon Malapira, who was with two others, all of them employees of Ilocos Sur Rep. Eric Singson
While Cabangon and Malapiras group were discussing a possible settlement, a Nissan Patrol (BBU-528) being driven by Dr. Anastacio Dayrit III suddenly hit the four men who were standing outside their vehicles.
Dayrit claimed that he was not able to see the four men as there were no early warning devices at the accident area. He said he wasnt able to avoid them in time.
Cabangon was a former member of the popular folk band Buklod. Katherine Adraneda
