Muntinlupa repairs barangay roads

-
More barangays roads are slated for rehabilitation by the city of Muntinlupa as it readies them for the opening of the long awaited City Alternative Route Entry and Exit System, or the CARES program.

City engineer Vic Navarro said a lot more roads need repair for the successful interconnection of barangays involved in the friendly route project.

The city is scheduled to conduct road asphalting on Bulak street, Poblacion; Sto. Niño street, Poblacion; Sto. Niño Village, Tunasan; Alabang-Zapote road, Alabang; Immacualte Concepcion Compound, Cupang; San Jose, Alabang; and road concreting at Victoria Homes, Alabang.

Navarro said a proposal is being made for the opening of said barangay roads as initial kick off of the city-wide alternate route project pending the construction of other streets concerned.

Under CARES, subdivisions from Victoria Homes shall be interconnected to Susana Heights, the New Bilibid Prisons reservation, Katarungan Village, Greenheights Subdivision, Camella 1, Soldiers Hills, Camella 2, 2D and 2E, Pleasant Village up to ending at Filinvest Corporate City and vice versa.

The former 30-minute travel time from the said entry to exit points is expected to be reduced to 10 minutes using CARES.
