Cut to pieces

- Jerry Botial -
Another mutilated body, believed to be a victim of summary execution by vigilantes, was found dumped along a busy intersection early yesterday morning in Cubao, Quezon City.

The headless body of a suspected snatcher was found stuffed inside a Marlboro cigarette box. His severed hands and feet were also found in the same box, said investigators of the Central Police District-Criminal Investigation Unit (CPD-CIU).

A tag was found on the body with words "Isnatser ako. Huwag tularan — Vigilante," police said, adding that the victim’s head is yet to be found.

SPO1 Rodrigo Barrameda said the chopped up body was found by vendor Joselito Pineda beside a Philippine National Bank (PNB) branch at the corner of General Araneta Avenue and Aurora Boulevard at the Araneta Center in Cubao, Quezon City.

Pineda told probers he spotted two suspicious-looking boxes left unattended outside about one o’clock in the morning. He immediately called for police assistance regarding his gruesome find.
